Stanford Paper Announces "Woke Watch"
“No idea should be off-limits at a university. But when an ideology becomes so prevalent that it is nearly impossible to challenge, it becomes a serious problem—and a threat to academic freedom.” The Stanford Review’s new “woke watch” initiative will expose ideas and initiatives on Stanford’s campus that promote or are grounded in intolerance.
“We at the Review are deeply concerned about the stranglehold these ideas place on rational discourse. In this spirit, we are launching ‘Woke Watch,’ a new series that gives readers an inside look into how wokeness is rotting the intellectual foundations of one of America’s leading universities.”
Stanford Review Mission: “Founded in 1987, The Stanford Review is Stanford's Independent Newspaper. We aim to present alternative views on a wide range of issues, create a forum for rational debate on campus, and challenge those who disagree to participate. We publish news and opinion pieces during the academic year.”
