NBA China Critic Enes Kanter Freedom announces civil rights foundation

Exclusive: “Kanter Freedom, the NBA’s resident China critic, says he will soon launch a foundation that will fight for civil rights in countries like China and Turkey.” The non-profit will be a full-time focus for the retired player.

Kanter has said his outspoken activism cost him his spot in the NBA, and blamed owners for turning a blind eye to human rights abuses and genocide while claiming to support social justice.
